Jury selection starts in the trial against a third man charged in a deadly shooting at a Rockford pizza place.
Brandon Sago faces felony murder charges in the death of Michael Sago. The 16 year old died after he was shot by off duty Winnebago County Sheriff's Deputy Frank Probjecky in October of 2011 at Marie's Pizza. Police say Sago, Desmond Bellmon, Lamar Coates and Brandon Sago went in to rob the place, when the shooting happened. All four were shot by Probjecky, but Michael Sago didn't make it.
Coates was found guilty of Sago's murder even though he didn't pull the trigger and is serving a 40 year prison sentence. Bellmon pleaded guilty, and is scheduled to be sentenced December 9th.
Opening statements in the trial against Sago could be delivered as early as Tuesday.
Probjecky was cleared of any wrong-doing in the shooting.
