Regional Red Cross well represented in Central IL

Two more volunteers from the Rock River Chapter of the American Red Cross left this morning to Central Illinois to help in the tornado struck areas.  This will make a total of five volunteers from the Rock River Chapter providing comfort in the affected area.

From the six chapters that make up the Midwest River Region, 49 volunteers have been sent as of Saturday morning.
"Red Cross volunteers are working around the clock to provide food, shelter and relief supplies to all those whose lives were affected by these storms," said Lisa LaSala, Executive Director of the Rock River Chapter.  "Our job is never over — even as we work with people to help them recover, our preparedness teams are investing in helping individuals, neighborhoods, businesses and organizations get better prepared for disasters so that they can be more resilient when the next disaster strikes.
