Emergency management officials are capping donations for victims of the tornadoes that ripped through central Illinois on Sunday afternoon.
The officials say donation facilities are full and cannot accommodate any more items, however, monetary donations are still needed for cleanup projects.
Washington, Illinois was one of the hardest hit communities with a 46-mile path of destruction left by an EF-4 tornado. Forecasters say at least 15 tornadoes hit around the state Sunday, killing six and destroying hundreds of homes.
Emergency management officials are recommending volunteers heading to the area provide their own food, clothing, and shelter.
