When the calendar changes so does the way many Americans get access to health care.
We've already told you, the Federal Affordable Health Care Act requires everyone to have insurance by January 1st. The law mandates that companies that have more than 50 employees, have to offer coverage There isn't anything that requires smaller businesses to. Flexible Benefit Service Corporation President John DiVito say businesses, and the people who work for them will most likely have to pay more. "The younger individual, their rates are going to go higher, the older individual, they'll come down. Overall costs though have gone up, and so, what we need to do is be able to raise the deductibles and out of pockets in order to bring those premiums down."
DiVito says people can get health insurance, that meets the federal requirements, from either a public or private exchange.
