Virginia police investigating attack at Sen. Deeds home

State police in Virginia are now investigating the violent encounter between Sen. Creigh Deeds and his son.

According to many sources Deeds and his 24 year old son Gus had a close relationship. Gus Deeds left college in 2009 to help his father's campaign for governor. Investigators are still working to piece together a motive for why Gus stabbed his father before killing himself.

Creigh Deeds is listed in fair condition at the hospital in Charlottesville.
