IceHogs get two from Toledo

Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Monday that the Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned goaltender Mac Carruth and forward Philippe Lefebvre to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League from the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL.

Carruth, 21, shows a record of 4-3-0 in eight games for the Walleye in 2013-14. The Jackson, Wyoming native ranks tied for seventh in the ECHL with 432 minutes played, tenth with a .927 save percentage, and has a 2.50 goals against average.

The netminder is playing in his first professional season after leading the Portland Winterhawks (WHL) to the Memorial Cup Finals last spring.  Carruth was 30-7-2 with Portland a season ago with a .929 save percentage and a 2.05 goals against average.

Carruth was selected by the Blackhawks in the seventh round (#191 overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Lefebvre, 22, was acquired by the Blackhawks, along with Kris Versteeg, in a trade on Thursday, Nov. 14. The Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, native made his debut for the Walleye on Sunday. Prior to the trade, Lefebvre registered six points (2g-4a) in eight games with the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Over the past two seasons Lefebrve has played in 92 career AHL games, recording nine goals and nine assists with the Hamilton Bulldogs.
