Man admits to robbing Rockford store at gunpoint

A man admits to robbing a Rockford liquor store at gunpoint.

Police were called to Mosey's Grocery and Liquor at 4203 W. State Street in March.  James Taylor and another man went into the place with guns and were wearing masks.  Police say Taylor pointed a .38 caliber revolver at an some employees and started shooting.  One of the employees managed to get a gun, kept inside the store for protection, and shot at Taylor and hit him.  He was lying on the floor behind the counter when police got there.

Taylor pleaded guilty to armed habitual criminal and aggravated discharge of a firearm charges.  He'll be sentenced next month.
