Local organizations helping support tornado victims


District Bar & Grill, RBI's & Onyx Bar & Grill:

  • There is a moving truck at each restaurant collecting supplies. 
  • They will be delivering these supplies to Washington, IL in the morning.

Rockford First:

  • Partnering with local churches in the area to offer financial and physical relief.
  • They are buying food and supplies for those affected by the tornadoes.
  • Encouraging people to make donations with the money going to the organizations who need it most.

Illinois Fire Store (Amboy):

  • Two 12-foot trailers will be taking donations of plastic totes, safety-related goods for the first-responders down in Washington, IL.
  • Accepting donations through Wednesday and traveling to Washington Thursday.
  • To donate, go to Illinois Fire Store Facebook page or stop by the store on 243 E. Main St. in Amboy.

Rockton Sanctuary Spa:

  • Taking donations of non-perishable food items from 10AM-6PM Monday.
  • Bring donation items to the spa.

American Red Cross:

  • Always accepting monetary donations for disaster victims. 

Mobility Connection, Inc:

  • Collecting bottled water at their store.
  • Will deliver water when truck is full.

Northwest Fire Department:

  • Accepting clothing of all sizes, including winter clothing for men, women, and children.  Any other household items, toys, etc.
  • Accepting donations on MONDAY NIGHTS only at the station and will be delivered in few weeks.
