Nine-week streak of declining gas prices in U.S.

Posted:

Gas prices dropped for the ninth straight week for the lowest US average seen in two-and-a-half years.

The Lundberg Survey of 2500 US gas stations found the average cost is $3.21 for a gallon of regular.

That's nearly 15 cents lower than the last survey taken two weeks ago. Gas is most expensive in San Francisco, at $3.67 a gallon.

The cheapest gas can be found in Tulsa, with an average price of $2.82. Lundberg says we've probably seen the end of price cutting for now.
