$9,000 grant on the way for the Jefferson-Horton American Legion

Home Depot will be awarding a $9000 grant to the Jefferson-Horton American Legion Post 340 Monday. 

This grant, awarded by The Home Depot Foundation, will be used in conjunction with store and community volunteers to remodel and update the entire first floor of the American Legion Post that is located in a building at 1010 S. Main that was constructed in the 1920's. 

The grant is in part of The Home Depot's Celebration of Service spanning from September 11th through Veteran's Day. The Rockford area Home Depot stores have secured close to $50,000 in grants to help local veterans and veteran organizations.
George Blake, 2nd Division Commander of the 12th District, of the American Legion at the Home Depot store located at 6930 Argus Drive will participate in the signing ceremony officially accepting the grant. 

This event will take place on November 11, 2013 at 10AM.
