Highland Community College gets $266,000 for renovations


Capital investments of over $266,000 were announced Thursday for renovation projects at Freeport's Highland Community College.

The projects will be managed by the Illinois Capital Development Board and will be carried out at four buildings on campus.

Upgraded climate control systems and ventilation systems will be installed in the Natural Science and Fine Arts Buildings and Buildings M and R will receive new windows.

General renovations will be carried out by Winter Construction, Inc. of Freeport for $188,680 and Mechanical, Inc. of Freeport will perform the ventilation work for $77,900.
