Agents with U.S. Customs and Border Protection say 156 pounds of marijuana was seized Friday after it was found in a shipment of frozen vegetables headed for Chicago.
The marijuana, valued at $626,000, was found during a routine enforcement check of a truck at the Fort Street cargo facility in Detroit. The truck's driver, a 62-year-old Canadian man, was taken into custody and turned over to U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement.
Both the truck and the marijuana were seized.
