Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden says he is confident the bone fragments found in a burn pit over the weekend belong to a missing Fitchburg teenager.
The fragments were discovered at a home near Evansville by authorities investigating the disappearance of 18-year-old Aprina Paul. She was last seen on October 27. Tests confirming the identity of the body have not yet come back.
Police say Paul was picked up and brought to the house by a man in jail on a probationary hold. They say Paul then died at the house, but the man has denied any wrongdoing.
