Problems in the Grambling State football program just got more complicated, as rival Jackson State is announcing plans to sue after Grambling's players elected to boycott their game last Saturday.
The game was supposed to be Jackson State's homecoming, but Grambling's players refused to make the bus trip.
It was a protest designed to shed light on the poor conditions in the Grambling athletic department.
Even though many of the scheduled activities went on as scheduled, Jackson State and the city of Jackson say they lost millions of dollars in revenue.
Jackson State's homecoming normally draws tens of thousands of fans and the economic impact reaches deep into the community.
