Boylan Holds Top Spot in 6-A Polls


The latest Associated Press high school football polls are out, and Boylan is still ranked first in the 6-A ranks after knocking off Belvidere North Friday night.

In 5-A, Sycamore jumps to number two after beating Kaneland, while the Knights fall to number seven.

In 4-A, Rockford Lutheran climbs to number seven after defeating Stillman Valley. Undefeated Harvard is ranked eighth.

In 3-A, unbeaten Winnebago comes in at number three, with Stillman Valley falling to number seven. Those teams meet with the Big Northern West title on the line Friday night at Winnebago.

In 2-A, Eastland/Pearl City stays at number four, as the Wildcats gear up for a Friday night showdown against Forreston with a conference title on the line.

In 1-A, Stockton stays where it's been all season, at number one, and Forreston checks in at number five.
