The Rockford woman accused of stabbing her eight-year-old son to death will get yet another new judge.
The state made the request in the case against Jody Kossow Thursday morning. The 39-year-old faces first degree murder charges in the death of her son Thomas, who was stabbed multiple times in the driveway of their home on September 10.
Requests have already been put in by the defense to substitute out Judge Rosemary Collins and Chief Judge Joseph McGraw. Thursday's request was by the state to take the case away from Judge Fernando Engelsma.
Kossow is scheduled to find out which judge will take the case from Engelsma on Friday.
