ISU QB Leaves Program

Illinois State junior quarterback Jared Barnett has left the Illinois State football program for personal reasons, head coach Brock Spack announced Tuesday.

"Jared has decided to leave the football program due to personal reasons," Spack, a Rockford native, stated.  "We wish Jared the best in the future and will help him in any way we can."
Spack will have no further comments on Barnett's decision to leave the program.
Barnett saw action in three games for the Redbirds this season, after transferring from Iowa State.  He started the first two games of the season at Ball State and Eastern Illinois, and completed 27-of-48 passes for 415 yards and three touchdowns with five interceptions.
