Rockford police hosting introductory meeting for Explorer Program

The Rockford Police Department will host an introductory meeting of its Law Enforcement Exploring Program for teens interested in becoming police officers.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22 at 420 West State Street in Rockford. People between the ages of 14 and 20 are welcome to attend and learn more about what the program has to offer.

Topics covered in the program include law enforcement training, physical training, professional development, community service, crime and drug prevention training, and more.
