Rockford men arrested, accused of theft in Ogle County


On October 6, 2013 at approximately 2:10 a.m., officers from the Dixon Police Department responded to Walmart for a theft of three desktop computers.  Two individuals had walked out of the store with the merchandise valued at approximately $2500.  After a brief investigation and assistance from the Sterling Police Department and the Ogle County Sheriff's Department the vehicle was identified and located on I39 heading toward Rockford.

Terry D. Deberry, age 42 of 1324 Sablewood Street, Rockford, IL and Vincent A. Sanders, age 35 of 1412 Arthur Avenue, Rockford, IL were both arrested and charged with Burglary, Retail Theft (Over $300), and Retail Theft Subsequent Offense.  Burglary is a Class 2 Felony, Retail Theft is a Class 3 Felony, and Retail Theft Subsequent Offense is a Class 4 Felony.

Both individuals were processed at the Dixon Police Department and are being held at the Lee County Jail.
