Success By Six program helps students in the area read

Families with pre-k children and younger joined the United Way of Rock River Valley for its inaugural Success By 6 Early Childhood Family Fun Day.

The event kicks off United Way's school readiness programs such as the Page Turner Reading Program and Tiny Turners Reading Program in local school districts. Rockford and Harlem schools are involved right now.

Booths had activities related to each of the book titles used in this year's Page Turner Reading Program.

A Tiny Turners Reading Program area will feature younger activities for children age birth to three. Cost to attend is free.
