Preschool and kindergarten students across the country hope to get a spot in the "Guinness Book of World Records."

Read for the Record is a push to bring together children and adults to read the same book on the same day.  Classrooms at Fairview Early Childhood Center were excited to join in on the event and read this years book called "Otis".  Becca Johnson is a teacher at Fairview, she says the kids really get in to it.  "They really love it when people from the community come into the classroom and volunteer their time or read them a story it makes the daily routine come alive and really special."

Several other schools in District 205 also participated in the campaign including Walker, King, Kishwaukee and Spring Creek Elementary schools.
