Hononegah's soccer team remained unbeaten in NIC-10 play, beating Jefferson 3-1 Tuesday night. The J-Hawks came into the match tied for first place with a perfect conference record as well.
Hononegah got on the board with fifteen minutes left in the first half. Senior captain Zach Moore scored his seventh goal of the year, when he headed in a Nick Stella throw-in from the left side.
The Indians went up 2-0 with less than 20 seconds left in the first half. Ian Hoard headed in Cody Green's free kick to make it 2-0 at the half.
In other soccer action, Keith knocked off East 4-3, and Winnebago and Rockford Christian played to a 2-2 tie.
In high school volleyball, Winnebago knocked off Rockford Lutheran in three sets. They split the first two sets by identical 25-23 margins before Winnebago took the final set 25-13.
In other volleyball action, Dakota improved to 23-0 with a straight sets win over Forreston, Boylan stayed perfect with a 2-0 win over East, Keith dominated Alden-Hebron, and Eastland beat Scales Mound in straight sets.
