Current Ogle County Sheriff wants to keep his job

The current Ogle County Sheriff, wants to keep the job.  Michael Harn announced he's seeking re-election in March.

Harn was elected as Sheriff in 2010 and says he has a track record of doing more with less financial resources.  According to a prepared speech, Harn says public safety is his highest priority and that while he's been Sheriff, annual total arrests are up by four times in the county.   Harn also says the office has reorganized and upgraded the Ogle County Jail and that in 2012 it held 30% more detainees than it did in 2010.  Harn was born and raised in Polo. He and his family live in Forreston.

So far, Brian Vanvickle and Joe Drought have announced they're running for Ogle County Sheriff in 2014 too.
