Icemen Start out Season with Wins

The Rockford Icemen had a great start to the high school season with the varsity going 3-0 during the first weekend of play. Rockford Icemen varsity team beat New Trier 6-3 on Saturday. Sunday morning the Icemen beat Prairie Ridge 8-1 at Carlson Ice Rink and followed that game with a victory in Hoffman Estates over St. Viator with a score of 6 to 4. 
 The team was led by the offensive efforts of Jonathan Pirrie (5g + 4a), Andy Cropp (7g + 2a) and Blake Miller (2g + 5a). The Icemen's next games will be Saturday, October, 12th at 8:00 p.m. at Carlson Ice Rink, and Sunday, October 13th at Carlson Ice Arena.
