Former Belvidere teachers file lawsuit

A group of former Belvidere are teachers sue the Board of Education of Belvidere.

According to court documents, seven teachers are involved in the lawsuit. The complaint shows the teachers were all let go at the end of the 2013 school year because of a reduction in force.

The teachers argue they were supposed to get a full final evaluation before termination, but they never did.

Belvidere's superintended says the school is not commenting on the civil suit, but is in the process of getting a lawyer.

A case management conference is scheduled for March 14.
