Beloit Police have identified the body recovered from the Rock River Tuesday night.
A forensic examination shows the body is 55-year-old Bobby Bevineau of Beloit.
Bevineau was reported missing to the Beloit Police Department a week ago. Investigators have not determined the cause of death, but they do not suspect foul play.
Captain Risse with the Beloit Police Department says the body had been in the river for so long that authorities were unable to identify the individual's race or sex. An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday morning.
