Discovery Center offering new fall Tot Spot classes

Whether your child wants to be an astronaut, a farmer, or loves biology, the Discovery Center has a class for them. The children's museum is offering five new classes for children between the ages of two and six this fall.

Each class has a different theme with related stories, craft activities, and snacks. Pre-registration is required and it is $12 per child for the general public and $10 per child for museum members. Adults must attend classes with two-year-olds, and are not required, but welcome to attend classes with three- to six-year-olds. The museum asks that no siblings act as adults for two-year-olds.

The following sessions are available:

  • 3-2-1 Blast Off!: A look at space and the moon landing.
  • Itsy, Bitsy Spider: Discover the world of spiders.
  • Falling Leaves: Find out why the leaves change color and fall off the trees.
  • Corn-A-Plenty: Cook up some corn bread and learn how Native Americans helped Pilgrims grow their first crop of corn.
  • Reindeer Games: Play reindeer games and learn about where the real animals live.

Refunds, minus 10 percent, will be available for classes if canceled up to a week in advance.
