Caregiver accused of taking over $25,000 from Illinois woman

The caregiver of a 70-year-old southern Illinois woman is accused of stealing $25,675 from her.

Forty-five-year-old Kimberly Jean Ital of Harrisburg has been charged with financial exploitation of an elderly person, theft, and three counts of aggravated identity theft. Authorities say she stole the woman's money in May of this year and misused the woman's credit cards.

Ital was arrested last week and was still in jail on Tuesday.
