Mobile service helps veterans learn about benefits

An event geared toward helping veterans took place at Kegel Harley on Saturday. Harley-Davidson and the Harley's Heroes tour made a stop at the shop on Harrison to help veterans learn more about services and benefits for them.

With changes in veterans' benefits changing from year to year, the non-profit Disabled American Veterans organization teamed up with the Harley-Davidson Foundation to offer help.

The DAV Mobile Service Office set up shop at Kegel from 9-4 on Saturday to personally provide the best counseling and claim filing assistance available. It was free to all veterans and members of their families.
