Freeport housing concerns

Freeport housing advocates worry people in the city will soon lose access to money to help them buy a home.

Freeport's one of roughly 900 communities across the country that could lose rural designation status. That makes them ineligible for USDA housing loan programs. "Home Starts" executive director says those programs have helped hundreds of people get affordable mortgages to buy homes. The group's working closely with members of congress to keep the change from happening.
