A seven-year-old Watson, Illinois girl will be laid to rest Monday after police say she was fatally stabbed by her uncle.
Willow Long's body was found earlier this week. Her uncle, 22-year-old Justin DeRyke, has been charged with first-degree murder in the case. Police say he told them he killed Willow in an effort to end her suffering after the girl accidentally fell into a brush pile and her neck was pierced by a stick. He's currently being held on $5 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court next week.
A visitation for Willow is scheduled for Saturday at the Hearts Rock Cafe in Effingham High School from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Her funeral is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday at Effingham's First Baptist Church.
