Convicted Rockford felon sentenced for having loaded handgun


A Rockford man will spend time in prison for having a gun when he was court ordered not to.

Jeffrey Lottie, 27 pleaded guilty to being a convicted felon with a gun in June.

In February, Lottie was in a car with his girlfriend when they were pulled over for a traffic violation.  Police found a loaded semi-automatic handgun in the car. 

Lottie was sentenced to almost six and a half years in prison. He'll also be on parole for three years after he's released.
