Rockford man arrested for Oregon Avenue burglary

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

A 27-year-old Rockford man has been arrested and charged with residential burglary for a May 16, 2012 burglary.

Police responded to a home in the 1700 block of Oregon Avenue and were told the backdoor had been forced open and electronics and other items of value were taken. An investigation led to the Winnebago County State's Attorneys Office charging Julio Moreno with the crime.

Moreno is currently in the Illinois Department of Corrections for two other Rockford burglaries on Pierce Avenue and Eastgate Parkway. He was served his copy of the warrant against him while in custody.
