Stockton Shooting for State

Stockton was the only area high school to advance to state last year. The Blackhawks lost in the state championship game after winning their first thirteen games of the season. Now they're ready to start another run.

"The kids want to get back there and have an opportunity to win one," head coach Chris Thornton said.

Stockton lost some firepower from the team, but also returns a solid core. They have high expectations for themselves again.

"We're hoping to come back with another solid year and keep setting our goals high and working toward them," senior lineman Ty Harmston said.

The Blackhawks open their season August 30 at home against River Ridge.
