Jefferson High School renovations revealed at breakfast

Rockford District 205 hosted members of the community and area business leaders at Jefferson High School for breakfast Tuesday morning.

The school was renovated over the summer by volunteers with Rockford Sharefest and school staff. It now has new learning academy offices, library, teacher workroom, and upgraded classrooms. Breakfast attendees got to explore the building Tuesday and see the final results.

"A great number of people put a lot of time in this building and a lot of people here were those that picked up a paint brush and moved some desks," Jefferson Principal Don Rundall said. "So we wanted thanks and show them the final product."

Jefferson is also the home of District 205's new college and career academies.
