UPDATED: Driver hurt in car v. home accident was drinking


UPDATED: Rockford Police have determined that high speed and alcohol were a factor in the crash. The driver of the vehicle is still in critical condition. He needed to be cut from the car with the Jaws of Life.

The address of the home was 3004 N. Rockton Ave.

PREVIOUS:Rockford Police have confirmed a car vs. home accident early Sunday morning.  It happened in the 3000 block of North Rockton Avenue.

According to police, one man was in the car when he lost control and drove into a home on the block. He is listed in critical condition at an area hospital.

There was at least one person in the home at the time, but no other injuries were reported.

Rockford Police are investigating the crash.
