The Pink Heals Tour brings pink fire trucks to Rockford on Saturday. The organization has been doing so since 2007 in communities from coast to coast.
It's goal is to raise cancer awareness and support those battling the disease. Saturday, they had the chance to do that at SwedishAmerican Hospital.
It was at the hospital from 10-1 on Saturday. The pink fire truck, along with firefighters dressed in pink showed off their gear and talked about their cause.
A group giving out mammograms was there as well. Project F.A.M.E. (Funding and Advocacy for Mammography Exams) was on hand to talk about the importance of women taking time to get check out. All sales from the program go toward a grant for women unable to afford a screening.
