VanSistine Wins Women's Classic

It's been quite the week for recent Boylan graduate Melissa VanSistine. She won the Greater Rockford Girl's Classic Monday, and bookended her week with a championship in the Greater Rockford Women's Classic.

VanSistine defeated Hui Chong Dofflemyer 2 and 1. VanSistine drilled a 25-foot birdie putt on 14 to keep things even with four holes to play.

She then hit a clutch birdie on 15 to go 1-up and finished the championship with a 10-foot birdie putt on 17 to knock off former champion Dofflemyer.

It's VanSistine's first Women's Classic title. She heads to Lewis University next month to study and play golf collegiately.
