Students in the Freeport School District now have more options when it comes to their school uniform.
The Board of Education approved changes to the district's uniform policy on July 23, adding gray as a shirt color option. The logo policy was also changed, and now allows schools to approve logos on the upper left chest and small brand logos that are no bigger than three inches. In addition, belts no longer have color restrictions and can be any color or pattern, "so long as it does not disrupt the educational setting."
The changes were proposed partially due to parent and student suggestions.
