Kids get first hand look at familiar vehicles at "Touch a Truck" event

Kids at the Cherry Valley Public Library got into the drivers seat of some special vehicles Thursday afternoon as part of an end of summer celebration.

The library celebrated the end of its "Dig Into Reading" summer program with the "Touch a Truck" event. Kids got to get up close and personal with a fire truck, garbage truck, school bus, and even some vintage vehicles to learn more about how the vehicles work and what jobs they can do.

A bounce house and ice cream truck were also on hand.
