Plane crashes into Indiana home

COLUMBUS, IN (WREX) — Two people are injured after a small plane crashed into a central Indiana home.

The Thursday morning crash ignited a fire in a Columbus, Indiana neighborhood just a mile from the city's airport. Video from local television stations show most of the one-story home was destroyed, but there does not appear to be damage to any surrounding residences.

Two of the plane's occupants were injured, and one was taken to a local hospital.

Columbus is about 40 miles south of Indianapolis.
