Rockford restaurant offers free lunch in support of Special Olympics

Rockford police officers are teaming up with the local Texas Roadhouse to offer free lunch for a good cause.

Patrons can get a lunch of pulled pork sandwiches, corn, fresh bread, and a drink for a tax-deductible donation toward Special Olympics Illinois and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26 at the Rockford Texas Roadhouse. The value of the meal is about $6.99.
