According to the Oregon Police Department, an autopsy performed on 91-year-old Elmer N. Leeds showed his manner of death as drowning and the cause of death as undetermined.
Chief Darin DeHaan said based on the investigation, no foul play was involved.
The Oregon Police Department has released the name of the man who was found dead in the Rock River Monday morning.
The body of 91-year-old Elmer N. Leeds was found around 8:45 a.m. by a couple fishing near Kiwanis Park. A baseball cap, wooden cane, and red flannel shirt was also found on the riverbank.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
