14 charged in Rockford Hells Angels investigation


Rockford police have charged 14 individuals after an investigation into aggravated battery, armed robbery, and kidnapping at the Hells Angels Clubhouse in the 1100 block of Rock Street.

The investigation began last month and the victims were known associates of the group. Multiple law enforcement agencies including Rockford police, the ATF, and the FBI executed 14 simultaneous arrest warrants around 5:15 a.m. Friday morning.

The warrants were for 13 residences in Rockford, Loves Park, Rockton, Pecatonica, Belvidere, Freeport, Chicago, Countryside, the Winnebago County Fair Grounds, and the clubhouse.

The following men have been charged:

  • Neal Resendez, Belvidere - in custody
  • Richard Todd, Rockford - in custody
  • Robert Bell, Rockford - in custody
  • John Savalick, Pecatonica - in custody
  • Curt Lambert, Rockford - in custody
  • Dariusz Achramowicz, Chicago - in custody
  • Tomas Lech, Chicago - in custody
  • Aloysius Balice, Rockford - in custody
  • Bradley Willhelms, Freeport - in custody
  • Dennis Juno, Rockton - in custody
  • Earl Murray, Rockton - in custody
  • Jose Velma, Countryside - not in custody
  • Christopher Lawson, Rockford - not in custody

Charges against the 14 individuals include:

  • Armed Robbery (4 counts)
  • Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery
  • Aggravated Kidnapping of a Child Under 13 (the child was not harmed)
  • Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
  • Aggravated Battery by Use of a Taser
  • Aggravated Battery by Use of a Knife
  • Aggravated Battery by Use of an Axe Handle
  • Mob Action

Bond for each individual has been set at $1,000,000. The clubhouse has been condemned for several code violations by the City of Rockford.
