Janesville officers arrested two men Friday morning in two separate instances of operating while intoxicated.
The first man, 32-year-old Angelo M. Young, is on probation for another offense and is not allowed to drink. An officer said he observed Young leaving Quotes Bar on North Main Street and backing into traffic with no lights on around 2:00 a.m. After being pulled over, Young failed a series of field sobriety tests and a breath test revealed he had a blood alcohol content of .13. He has been charged with 5th Offense OWI and Probation Violation.
The second man, 34-year-old Brad Flodeen, was arrested for 4th Offense OWI, Possession of THC, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Officers responded to Tremors Bar for a disturbance in the parking lot where police say Flodeen was bitten by a dog and punched the dog's owner in the face. However, Flodeen left the scene before police got there.
He was located by police in his vehicle at N. Franklin St. and W. Centerway St. He initially submitted to a series of field sobriety tests, but according to police he refused to continue part-way through. A search warrant for a blood test was obtained and results are pending. Initial field sobriety tests indicated Flodeen was intoxicated.
