Tee-K Kelly after sinking a putt on the 14th hole.
ROCKFORD (WREX) -
Robert Dofflemyer of Belvidere shot +5 through four rounds of the Illinois State Amateur Championship golf tournament at Aldeen Golf Club. That was enough to get him a top ten finish, but not enough to compete with winner Tee-K Kelly of Wheaton, who took home the trophy after shooting -7 through his four rounds.
Springfield's Jake Erickson was the leader going into the final day, in which two rounds were played. He finished three shots behind Kelly, tied with John Watson IV for second place.
Hononegah graduate and current NIU golfer Connor Nelson finished at +15, while Rockford's Mick Hockinson finished the four rounds at 23-over par.
