Suspect named in one armed robbery after multiple occur

Rockford Police have named 22-year-old, Janae L. Jordan the prime suspect in a robbery to a Fifth/Third Bank on Thursday.

It happened before noon on Thursday when police say Jordan walked into the bank, displayed a note demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount.

The possible suspect vehicle is a gray Pontiac Grand Prix.

Other attempted robberies happened on Sunday around 11:45am.  A woman entered the Blackhawk Bank on 11th Street partially disguised.  When she saw a security officer, she left.

Then, just before 2pm, officers responded to the Currency Exchange on 1st Street.  A suspect displayed a note demanding cash but got away with nothing.

Then again, just after 2pm the Alpine Bank inside the Schnuck's on Charles Street was robbed using the same technique.  The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
