Keeping your kids safe and in your sights this Summer is becoming easier with the help of the Illinois Tollway and Illinois State Police District 15.
K.I.S.S. stands for Kids Identification and Safety Seat. The project gives parents and caregivers free ID cards and inspects child safety seats.
80-percent of safety seats in Illinois are installed improperly according to the ISP. Certified child passenger safety technicians were on hand at the Discovery Museum Center in Rockford on Saturday to ensure seats were properly installed.
Also, 2100 children a day are reported missing in the U.S. That's why having an ID card with updated height and weight of your child is so important.
