Representatives from the Illinois Foreclosure Prevention Network will stop in Rockford this weekend to help area families struggling to keep their homes.
A workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Giovanni's Convention Center and will offer in-person assistance, resources, and knowledge from housing experts. Attendees can talk to a housing counselor, apply for financial help, or meet with their lender. Participating lenders include Wells Fargo, Chase, Citibank, and Fifth Third.
The IFPN is a multi-agency effort launched last year to gather all resources available to homeowners so they can easily access information and get the help they need. The network offers access to free housing counseling services, legal advice, mortgage help, and more.
For more information on the IFPN, visit keepyourhomeillinois.org or call 1-855-533-7411 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
