ROCKFORD (WREX) -

The Rockford Police Department is investigating an aggravated robbery to the Fifth Third Bank on West Riverside Boulevard, in front of WalMart.

Police got the call around 11:15 a.m. A black female around the age of 25 with braided hair pulled into a bun entered the bank and implied a weapon, but did not show one.

She got away with cash, discarding her shirt and the hat she was wearing before going north on Owen Center Road in a green sedan similar to a Chevy Cavalier or Pontiac. The car was missing a hubcap from the front driver's side.

Anyone with any information on this incident should call Rockford Police at 815-987-5824 or CrimeStoppers at 815-963-7867.
